SURVEYOR’S PROFESSION STANDARD

1. Assistant Surveyor
Formal education that has to be met by individual for Assistant Surveyor’ position is at least graduated from Senior High School or equal and had done an internship process for at least 2 (two) years on a survey company and has an Assistant Surveyor’s qualification certificate that published by Association.

After this individual had done his/her tasks well as an Assistant Surveyor for 4 (four) years by getting special education/training on his/her field, then he/she can climb up to Junior Surveyor level by passing a profession qualification certification test for Junior Surveyor level.


Assistant Surveyor is given authority to examine, count the quantity of object that will be surveyed.

2. Junior Surveyor
Individual with a formal education of D3 or equal, can be appointed as a Junior Surveyor on his/her field, after done an internship process on a survey service company for at least 2 (two) years and has a Junior Surveyor’s profession qualification certificate that published by Association.


After he/she had done his/her tasks well as a Junior Surveyor for 4 (four) years by getting special education/training on his/her field, then he/she can be appointed as a Surveyor by passing a profession qualification certification test for Surveyor level.


Junior Surveyor tasks are to observe, count the quantity and quality of object that being surveyed.


3. Surveyor
Individual with a formal education of Bachelor Degree (S1) or equal, can be appointed as a Surveyor on his/her field, after he/she had done an internship process for at least 1 (one) year on a survey service company and has a profession qualification certification for Surveyor level that published by Association.

After he/she had done his/her tasks well as a Surveyor for at least 4 (four) years, then he/she can become a Senior Surveyor, if he/she pass the profession qualification certification test for Senior Surveyor level.


Surveyor is able to be given additional authority to issue notes (remarks), other than entitled to observe, count the quantity and quality.


4. Senior Surveyor
Individual with a formal education of Master Degree (S2) or equal, can be appointed as a Senior Surveyor on his/her field, after he/she had done an internship process for at least 1 (one) year on a survey area and has a profession qualification certification for Senior Surveyor level that published by Association.


After he/she had done his/her tasks well as a Senior Surveyor for 6 (six) years, then he/she can be appointed as a Principal Surveyor by passing a profession qualification certification test process for Principal Surveyor level.

Other than the tasks as Surveyor, he/she is able to be given additional authority to issue some opinions.


5. Principal Surveyor
After having experience as a Senior Surveyor for 6 (six) years, then he/she can be appointed as a Principal Surveyor on his/her field, by passing a profession qualification certification process for Principal Surveyor level that published by Association.


Individual with a formal education of Senior High School and D3, can only reach Surveyor and Senior Surveyor level at maximum, while individual with a formal education of at least Bachelor Degree (S1), has the opportunity to reach the highest level when there’s a vacancy. 


To reach the Surveyor level and up, an individual need to have managerial skills
